Sanyasa, Vinyasa and Apanyasa

  1. Sanyasa: is the last swar of the first charan in a song. If there are three lines in the sthayi, the last swar of all the three lines is Sanyasa.
  2. Vinyasa: is the last swar of any charan of a song. There are four charans or khands in a song – Sthayi, Antara, Sanchari and Abhog. The     last swar of each khand is called Vinyasa.
  3. Apanyasa or Upanyasa: is the swar on which the middle portion of a musical composition ends. One Jaati can have more than one        Apanyasa swar
